The studio’s second release under Yggdrasil’s YGG Champions programme introduces expanding reels and cross-session crystal collection, with player progress preserved between sessions.
Persistent progression mechanics, where in-game collection states survive between sessions, are gaining traction as a retention tool among slot developers targeting regulated European markets. Fish & Chips Games released Wolf of London on 17 September 2026, the studio’s second title under Yggdrasil’s YGG Champions programme, following its debut slot Bus Stop Bonanza.
A darker direction for a studio built on British levity
Wolf of London is the second release from Fish & Chips Games under Yggdrasil‘s YGG Champions programme, launched in June 2026 to give distinct studios their own identity within the Yggdrasil portfolio.
The studio’s debut, Bus Stop Bonanza, took a comic approach to British everyday life. Wolf of London moves into different territory: a Victorian Gothic setting built around fog, gaslit streets, and a werewolf threat arriving after dark.
Expanding reels and a collection mechanic that persists between sessions
The game opens on a 5×4 reel set with 1,024 paylines. Rising Moon symbols expand the grid by one row each, up to a maximum of three additional rows, taking the layout to a full 5×7.
Collectible Crystals, the game’s primary reward mechanism, land only on those expanded rows, meaning the grid must grow before the main feature can begin. Landing all three Rising Moons converts the expansion into 10 free spins played on the full 5×7 layout.
Crystals arrive in four colours. Collecting five of a single colour completes a set and adds a Super High Paying Werewolf symbol in the matching colour to every reel for subsequent free spin rounds. The mechanic carries between sessions: incomplete collections are retained when a player closes the game, and new players begin with three Red Crystals already banked — two short of a complete set before their first spin.
Wolf of London is available in four RTP configurations, 90.5%, 92%, 94%, and 96%, with a 20.3% hit frequency, medium-high volatility, and a maximum multiplier of 3,095x, equating to a maximum win of €386,875.
What the studio and Yggdrasil said
The Fish & Chips Games marketing team said:
‘Our first game was a bus stop in the rain. This one is a fog-bound street and something on the other side of the door. Both are British, they are just different halves of it. The reels grow because we wanted players to go and find the thing, rather than be handed it on spin one.’
Phill Taylor, Head of Region – Europe at Yggdrasil, said:
‘Its crystal collection mechanic saves player progression across sessions, a genuine retention driver that feels natural, while expanding reels build toward a full 5×7 free spins round, backed by enough volatility to reward players with great win potential.’
Wolf of London is available to operators via Yggdrasil Champions.
