Publisher Assemble Entertainment and developer Mateo Covic have just surprise-released Paddle Paddle Paddle on Nintendo Switch, with the game available now.
Paddle Paddle Paddle has been very well received by players on Steam and has already surpassed 280,000 copies sold. It’s described as an extremely difficult physics-based adventure game focused on chaotic co-op and, of course, getting frustrated with your friends.
Here’s some additional information:
A brutally frustrating co-op adventure aboard a boat that you probably won’t survive. But hey… at least you’ll look ridiculous trying.
Grab your paddles (and your patience) and set off on a ridiculously long adventure surrounded by lava. In Paddle Paddle Paddle, you (and perhaps one deeply regretful friend) will have to paddle your way through swinging axes, gusts of wind, terrifying slopes, and that one jump you’ll miss twenty-seven times in a row… or more.
What awaits you at the end of the journey? A legendary, mysterious, and possibly useless prize? Maybe… if you make it there. You probably won’t.
This game will test your coordination, sanity, and friendships. You can:
Play solo and control both paddles, like a multitasking god.
Or play with a friend, online or offline, sharing control of the paddles. Coordination is key, so try not to yell… too much.
- Real-world physics-based paddling — well, sort of. More like not really.
- High frustration factor — rage-quitting is a feature, not a bug.
- Online and offline co-op — ruin friendships from anywhere.
- Timer — for those who hate themselves.
- One gigantic level — handcrafted with crazy biomes and optional checkpoints (which can be enabled in the settings).
- Key remapping — because your keyboard is going to suffer.
- Merciful settings — enable checkpoints, adjust the controls, or just sit there and cry.
